| VIVEKANANDA YUBA SAMITY (VYS) was founded and registered (Registration No.S/91331) under the Societies Registration Act XXVI, 1860 of Govt. of West Bengal, INDIA in the year 1960 with the basic objective of nurturing a harmonious and societal atmosphere among the residents of Vivekanandanagar. It is an oldest philanthropic organisation in the Sankrail Constituency located at South Howrah District and is playing a pioneering role in all-round development of Thanamakua Gram Panchayet and its surrounding areas. VYS is secular, non-political and non-profit making in its structure and since 1960 in this large area, no other Club is formed. All the inhabitants of this large area are united under the umbrella of VYS. At present, about 10000 people live in this developing area. In the span of last 46 years, VYS has grown from strength to strength to strive towards establishing a better environment, in terms of creating new recreation facilities as well as other necessary developmental work. VYS’s committed teams have worked hand in hand with communities to inspire creative and productive participation among them. Over a span of 46 years, we are viewed as enablers, catalysts, partners. Registration : 1) Registered under Societies Registration Act, Govt. of West Bengal. 2) Registration under Section 80G of Income Tax Act, Govt. of India is still awaited. 3) Registration/Affiliation under Indian Football Association (IFA) is still awaited.
